Feasibility Study
C-DAC's consultants conducted a feasibility study of the support environment and adopted the criteria which would assess the impact of non-availability of service and also the feasibility of delivering the service offshore which is cost-effective. At this stage the client’s business needs are analyzed, information about project participants is collected, and the requirements for the system are gathered and analyzed. The client’s expectations for system implementation are studied and the proposed solution is offered. During the Feasibility Study stage, the project’s goals, parameters and restraints are agreed upon with the client including:
  • Project budget and rules for its adjustment;
  • Project time frame;
  • Conceptual problem solution.
The following tasks are performed at this stage:
  • The project feasibility is estimated and the project scope is defined;
  • Risks and benefits are identified;
  • The project structure is elaborated;
  • The project is roughly planned;
  • The next project stage is planned precisely;
  • Cost of the next phase is evaluated precisely and cost of the other phases approx.
  • Functionality development priorities are defined;
  • System creation risks are estimated.
At the end of this phase the following documents are available:
  • Feasibility Report — description of the proposed solution and list of high-level functional requirements;
  • Project Structure — description of the project organization;
  • Project Plan — project schedule;
  • Risks List — list of potential project risks and possibilities of their elimination.
The Feasibility Report must be agreed upon and signed by the client. Signing this document means that the client and the project team have a common understanding of the project goals and tasks and have reached agreement on the process for project implementation.

Project Planning
Project planning is the same activities applied to a single project. The project is usually independent of other projects within the organization but dependent on its context. In Project planning, resources are recruited and hired for the life of single project and resources do not expect to be retained within the project team beyond the life of the project. Our projects are dissimilar to each other. Critical path techniques are used for establishing most efficient process for project achievement. Here the planning is concerned with the ‘how’ issues as well as ‘when’ issues. Demand of resources is never minimized. There is a definite start and end to the project and there is one single objective behind our product while we plan our project.

Application Customization
Some well-tested and mature applications-such as word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail and accounting systems-may not require customization. However, the field of Telemedicine is both ‘need’ and ‘technology’ driven and do require customization. Telemedical needs vary vastly depending on context requiring solutions that are both adaptable and affordable. Simplicity, reliability, scalability and flexibility of solution are critical to success. Thus our development teams in the telemedicine are always looking forward to customize our applications to cope with the changing times by adding new features and making our applications as user friendly as possible.

No two enterprises approach their customers in the same fashion, and not all applications are designed to fit every enterprise's special needs. Certain changes or additions call for changing of application codes in order to maximize return on investment. When a new version of an application is released, the new version must also be customized before the upgrade can be completed.

C-DAC Mohali’s Software enjoys a long history of successful application customization. Our services include custom configuration, code writing and re-engineering, customizing templates, interfaces and databases, and more. For customer benefits, we develop tailored applications for your special needs
