The Blood Bank is one of the major components of a hospital, concerned with various related activities including donor registration, physical examination, blood grouping, blood infectious tests, component separation, blood requisition and cross match. The Blood Bank module provides ready information about blood reserve/stock, daily cross-matched details, total daily blood requisitions and information regarding blood and donor.

Donor Management Functionality
It includes donor maintenance

Quality Check and Work load procedures for all the modules. E-mail and SMS functionality is incorporated for donor invitation and promotions.
Blood Transfusion
Sophisticated transfusion modules exist for managing the
clinical data and blood issues against cross match information, Expiry dates are maintained, mechanism for issuing blood units during
emergency, maintenance of pre-scanned alert text, blood requisitions and issues, maintenance of blood transfusion incidents and
pre-transfusion testing.
Instrument Interfacing
Interfacing of Blood Bank instruments and other Lab instruments.
Inventory Functionality
Management of multiple
storage facilities and locations, issue and return inventory, automatic discarding functionality, Safety features to store and maintain blood
units, audit trail features to track all activities of system, archiving functionality, Patient waiting list capability, Report writer
utility.
Reports
System provides standard
workload related reports, transfusion ration report, donor TEST report, blood component confirmation report, report on all the issues and
receives of blood units, inventory terns etc.
